The more active you are, the more calories you'll burn. Most health conscious people worry way too much about the number of calories and not enough on the quality of the calories that they're consuming.

It's time to keep it simple - Don't worry so much about the amount of calories, but rather focus on:

  • Eating smaller meals & snacks throughout the day
  • Focus on the quality of food you eat – Complex carbs like fruits, vegetables, nuts, etc. Stay away from pasta, bread, white rice, most cereal, etc. – Focus on lean protein like turkey, fish, egg whites, lean cuts of beef, etc.
  • Eat something about every 3 hours to keep your hunger at bay and your body well nourished.
  • Be active every day – Hit the weights, do some cardio, keep it moving!
  • Drink plenty of water – There’s a lot of speculation on how much is perfect – Just stay hydrated – Even if you’re not thirsty, keep a bottle of water around you and take at least a sip every now and then.
  • The more muscle you add to your physique the more calories you’ll burn – For every pound of muscle that you add, you’ll burn around 500 additional calories – That adds up!

Again, try to keep it simple. Follow a good workout plan & diet and keep yourself motivated.

Keep Going!
