You know the reason that fad diets and exercising for only a small amount of time never work?  Because you never change your lifestyle, you revert back to what you were doing before and that means gaining back the fat and bad habits before starting the fitness program. 

 

So, your long-term goal should be to change yourself.  It will be hard to change eating habits and exercise habits, but that is why this is a long-term goal.  It would be unrealistic to believe you can change yourself in one day. 

 

It takes time, and that is why it is goal-oriented.  You will exercise this goal by having will-power to follow pre-planned nutrition and exercise guidelines.  You change your lifestyle then you change your life.
