Some people are very busy helping others, but that's a poor excuse for not taking care of themselves. When you take care of yourself, the more capable you become of taking greater care of those who need you.

The biggest reason for not practicing what you preach unfortunately has to do with simply being lazy. It takes hard work to create a healthy body and a lot of people are not willing to invest the time and great effort that it takes. For those who practice what they preach, it's very irritating to see how these so-called experts so effortlessly shovel the rules out, but won't enforce any on themselves.

It makes most people realize that they're more concerned with the financial gain than they are about their own health and that's just very telling and very sad.

Thanks for the comment, Christopher!

All my best,

Have seen so many fat and unfit personal trainers- if you are a fitness instructor, then you are your own walking advert- if you look fit and healthy, then clients are going to be inspired to want to work hard with you. They will want to do the workouts and follow diet plans as you should do, because they want a body as fit and toned as you have. Not having time is no excuse- I see it as housekeeping- you gotta keep the shop front tidy to attract the customers. It's good business sense. You can't tell other people to make the time to work out when you don't do the same yourself- that's called being hypocritical. I am 50 years old, but I can keep up with people half my age and keep slim and toned, as I hope that younger people will see that by exercising and eating properly, you can stay youthful, maintain a bikini body and still wear the clothes you wore in your 20's. Hopefully, they will be inspired to change their lives for the better. By the way, I love your Body Sculpting Bible for Women- fantastic book- thanks for writing it. Great that you are encouraging more women to get in the weights room- they tend to regard it as only for the men and could not be more wrong. There are too many myths about women and weight training and am glad you are doing your bit to banish them. I love weights and strength training and believe it's not just for the boys. Girls can get a lovely toned, feminine, curvy, healthy looking body, if only they would get off the treadmill and pump some iron, kind regards, Ruth
